Community Solar creates clean, renewable energy in your community. By subscribing to one of our solar projects, you are paying for access to less expensive and environmentally friendly solar electricity so that you don’t have to buy electricity at standard utility rates produced by fossil fuels. Nearly everyone can participate regardless of your location, housing, or access to the sun. With this equipment-free option, you no longer need to install or maintain solar panels on your property or roof to benefit from the technology.

Yes! Whether you’re a business, nonprofit, rent or own, you can sign up for Community Solar. You will be assigned to a project within your utility territory. In the unlikely event your territory is not immediately available, don’t worry! We’re partnering with developers across the state and will work to connect you as quickly as possible. Best of all, you can sign up for free in a matter of minutes.

All you need to do is complete the form (or see below). You will need your electric bill account number and your checking routing and account number to connect your local utility account to our platform. Once you are connected, we’ll be able to apply your solar savings directly to your bill every month!

As a subscriber to a local community solar farm, you will receive solar credits for up to a 10% discount on your monthly electric utility rate. There are no long-term contracts to sign and zero upfront costs!

You will receive a bill from the community solar developer and one from your utility provider (minus your earned credits). No changes to your utility service provider, just a more sustainable bill.

You can opt-out at any time with 60 days’ notice. If you move within the same service territory, you will be able to transfer your agreement to your new residence. We will coordinate with the utility provider to have your solar credits redirected to your new account. You must provide us written notice of your new address at least 60 days prior to your move.

The Energy Brothers do not collect, store or maintain customer checking account or credit/debit card information. All subscriber payment information is managed through our secure payment processor in full compliance with the highest payment card industry data security and data encryption standards. This includes requirements for security policies, procedures, management, software design, network architecture and other protective measures.

Protecting payment data is essential to keeping your transactions safe. Point-to-point encryption solutions are used to encrypt payment data at the point of transaction, keeping it safe in transit and decrypting it securely at military-grade data facilities.

No. There are local solar farms where the solar energy comes from. There is nothing to build or hookup. Your utility provider is already hooked up to the farm.

No. The process to connect you to a community solar farm is done virtually. The solar energy is not going directly to your home. It is connected to your current utility provider.

No. The solar farm is not directly connected to your home, it’s connected to your provider. If there is no available output from the solar farm, your electricity will still be supplied from your current provider as it is today. You will see no impact in your home.

No. Upgrades to the infrastructure and repairs to the equipment is the responsibility of the solar energy company.
